Pork Chops & Rice – Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 4-6 medium thick boneless pork chops

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 – 10oz can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 5 tbs butter, sliced

  • 2 cups long grain white rice

  • 1 cup water, add towards the end with the rice

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Directions

  • Spray slow cooker with non stick spray. Add the pork chops in. Now add the mushroom soup, chicken broth, 1 cup of water, and seasonings. Stir. Now add in the sliced butter on top. Put on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
  • After cooking time is up shred the pork chips with a fork. Add in the rice and the last 1 cup of water stir well and cook on HIGH for 45 minute or until the rice is cooked.
  • Stir in the cheese and enjoy!

    The flavors were on point! The ingredient list should read, “2 cups water, divided” though and I also had issues with the rice not being done completely. My kids still ate it though!

    Everyone loved this recipe, tasted great and super simple!
    Only issue I had was the rice wasn’t even slightly cooked after the 45 minutes on high in my Ninja Foodi. So I pressure cooked it for 4 minutes and it was perfect.
