Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion, diced

  • 3 russet potatoes, peeled and cubed small

  • 3 large carrots, diced

  • 1 rib of celery, sliced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbs minced garlic

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 6 oz tomato paste

  • 4 1/2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1 cup frozen peas

Directions

  • To a large Dutch oven or pot on the stove over medium heat add the olive oil once the oil is hot add in the onions, celery and carrots cook for seven minutes stirring occasionally to soften the vegetables slightly, now add in the ground beef and minced garlic break the ground beef up and cook it through once cooked through remove any excess grease from the pot now stir in the flour, stir it well until it no longer looks white then stir it in the tomato paste after the tomato paste as well combined, add in the beef broth, worcestershire sauce, seasonings, potatoes, and frozen peas. Stir well scraping all the flavorful bits off the bottom of the pot then cover with a lid and bring to a simmer let simmer covered for 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve!
