Homemade cinnamon rolls are truly one of my very favorite things to make, but they take a lot of time to prepare. Cinnamon Roll Biscuits are a quick and easy alternative that take less than half an hour from start to finish. Buttery biscuit dough is coated in cinnamon sugar, baked to perfection, and topped with sweet icing. Enjoy this shortcut to a delicious morning treat.

How to Make Cinnamon Roll Biscuits

Making this delightful morning treat is so unbelievably easy. You’ll be shocked at how little time you’ll spend on them and how delicious they taste.

Start by spitting the biscuits in half. Many refrigerated biscuits come with some natural layers that are easy to pull apart. If yours aren’t pulling apart easily, you can slice them in half as well.

Coat each biscuit half in cinnamon sugar and put the halves back together on a baking sheet. I love using my cute rose gold baking sheet!

Bake the biscuits for around 15 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and beautiful.

Mix all the ingredients for the icing together and drizzle over the tops of the biscuits. Eat them while they’re warm!

Ingredients

  • 1 16.3 oz can refrigerated biscuits

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • Frosting
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375℉.
  • To a small bowl add the cinnamon and sugar and combine. Split each biscuit in half. Dip each of the biscuit halves in the cinnamon sugar mixture then place the halves on top of each other to make a whole biscuit again. Place onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While baking, make the frosting. To a medium size bowl, add the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk and whisk together until smooth. Once out of the oven, spread the frosting on top of the biscuits. Enjoy!
