Candy Cane Kiss Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup melted butter

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • Dash salt

Directions

  • To a medium sized bowl add in the butter, sugar, and brown sugar  and beat well.
    Beat in the egg yolks and vanilla extract.
  • To a big bowl add in the remaining ingredients except for the candy kisses, and whisk.
    Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat well.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Line a cookie pan with parchment paper. Roll the cookie dough into golf ball sized balls, and place on the cookie pan.
    Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let sit for 2 minutes. Unwrap the candy kisses and place on the top enjoy immediately or let harden.
